- Daria Werbowy for Maiyet Spring 2012 Campaign by Cass Bird - i can really relate to this fresh campaign. The dimensions and edges of this collections white shirts/jackets give the model a character “laid back sophistication.” I’ve been fascinated by the finishes to such a simple piece of clothing. Think this love of white shirts/shirts in general grew from having family in Italy Lake Garda where i would sit and look up to the italian stunning women in their classy basic’s in the sun by the river. I always tried to work out what makes them stand out to people back home? Obviously lifestyle but how can basics work that well?, then i realised it was the designs/structure.Women in white shirts is classy and it stays classy. The sets remind me of myself at home. Living in cornwall you embrace nature and enjoy every chapter of it. Still on a hunt for the perfect white shirt whilst researching found palmer//harding s/s12 quite the perfect match. The design doesn’t stop and unravels several designs in one. Would quite like to see these designs in a different collection in different colours, maybe see if it fitted in with the big hoops/80’s theme. Would it loose character? What would make it work?
Marc Jacobs in paris, lovely set. Really loving the theme of using trains especially with the coco chanel & pandora ad. Smart and elegant. His clothes were are bit heavy even without the coats. Collar on the coats are beautiful preferably the right size for a statement and the structure of the shoes give off a sexy office chic vibe. My favourite piece (in photo above) is this rich colour scheme thats hit the high streets atm like this topshop dress.
she has the biggest gap between her teeth but the model gives off young sweet innocent but i still have a place in this world which, not every model can pull off. The car works for sex appeal but more shots of her body would of given this shoot even more edge. She seems limited and will go far in further shoots.
